Kosovo & Albania HUB held the Final Workshop to Complete the Fourth Benchmarking Cycle

Water and Wastewater Works Association of Kosovo (SHUKOS) and Water Supply and Sewerage Association of Albania organized a Final Workshop to showing the results of the fourth Benchmarking cycle of Kosovo & Albania HUB valued as the first program that exceed the administrative boundaries of both Kosovo &Albania states, thus promoting a cooperation to compare water and sewerage services first with themselves and then with the other participating countries in this program.

Second workshop within D-LeaP Capacity Development Program for improvement of Energy Efficiency in public utility companies (PUCs) was held

The second workshop within D-LeaP Capacity Development Program for improvement of Energy Efficiency in public utility companies (PUCs) was held in the hotel "Rekic'', in Bihac on 17 December 2018. The overall objective of the Program is capacity strengthening of the PUCs employees on the methods and possibilities for Energy Efficiency improvement of pumping stations. The second one-day workshop within the Program for PUCs from Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H) was organized by representatives of the thematic centre, Association for Water and Environmental Protection "Aquasan Network in B&H".

The meeting of the IAWD Roundtable of Danube region water utility associations and the D-LeaP Committee Council has been organized on 17-18 December in Vienna, Austria.

Pre-Conference Benchmarking Workshop for Kosovo & Albania HUB

On 7 November 2018 Kosovo & Albania Hub held a regional benchmarking workshop that preceded the works of the sixth Balkan Joint Conference organized by the Association of Water and Waste-water Works of Kosovo (SHUKOS) and the Water Supply and Sewerage Association of Albania(SHUKALB) held in Tirana, Albania. Participants in the meeting were the utilities co-ordinators participating in the Kosovo & Albanian Hub as well as representatives of the IAWD and the Danube Regional Hub Coordinator.

The main purpose of this Workshop was disscusing of Draft Reports for Benchmarking Exercise 2017 and learn from others' practices to improve the performance of water companies, as well as the joint performance of the Hub in the ongoing exercise of Benchmarking.

Second training cycle on Non-Revenue Water successfully completed in Bosnia and Herzegovina by Aquasan Network in BiH

On 29 November 2018, Aquasan Network in BiH delivered the Final Workshop for 15 representatives from 7 Water Utilities thus completing the second training cycle under the D-LeaP NRW Program. As such, in two training cycles that have been carried out in 2017 and 2018, a total number of 38 employees and managers from 18 participating Water Utilities in Bosnia and Herzegovina have enhanced their competences to address high NRW levels.

The Danube Learning Partnership unites the national water utility associations of the Danube region to offer a comprehensive set of capacity building programs to participating utilities to enable sustainable water and wastewater services for all.

Learning by doing in the D-LeaP will strengthen and improve water utilities through the Danube region.
