Water Supply and Sewerage Association of Albania (SHUKALB)

The Water Supply and Sewerage Association of Albania (SHUKALB), which was established in 2000, is a professional, not-for-profit Association of water supply and sewerage professionals, who wish to improve the management of the Water Supply and Sewerage Sector in Albania, making it efficient, sustainable and effective in accordance with the current laws and regulations in Albania.

Austrian Association for Gas and Water (ÖVGW)

OVGW, the Austrian Association for Gas and Water, was founded in 1881 and has worked since then to promote the Austrian gas and water supply industries and associated sectors in all matters of scientific research, technology, business and legislation. OVGW is a non-profit organization based upon voluntary membership.

Of focal concern is ensuring that research and development in matters of gas and water supply remain at the cutting edge of science and technology.

Aquasan Network in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Aquasan)

The Aquasan Network is established to improve the present situation in the Water and environmental protection (WEP) sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina and particularly to maximize the use of domestic institutional and human resources (information, knowledge, experiences and good practices). Aquasan Network members are experts from the WEP sector across B&H i.e. representatives of state ministries, relevant entity and cantonal ministries, entity water agencies, municipalities, research institutes, NGOs, public water supply and utility companies and representatives of private sector including independent consultants.

Association of the Employers of Utility Companies in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (UPKP)

The Association of the Employers of Utility Companies in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has 78 members with over 8.000 employees from all ten cantons in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which have their representatives in the Management and Supervisory Board elected by the Assembly of the Association. The association promotes the education of its members by offering of expert seminars and thematic sessions, and by preparing documents on the solutions in the field of legal regulations and general acts harmonized with the regulations of European Union.

Association of Waterworks of Republic of Srpska (VRS)

The Association of Water utilities of Republica Srpska (Vodovodi RS) is established as an umbrella organization of water service providers from the territory of RS, and is based in Eastern Sarajevo. Main objectives of this association are: (i) promotion and development of utilities in field of collection, treatment and distribution of drinking waters and wastewater, (ii) provision of consulting and management services, (iii) organization of professional conferences, workshops, study tours from the field of water supply and sanitation, and (iv) publishing of association publication.

Bulgarian Water Association (BWA)

The Bulgarian Water Association (BWA) is a non-profit organization that was established on December 1, 2005 in the city. Sofia. Its members are companies and individuals who have interests related to water and sanitation, including the quality and treatment of drinking, industrial, agricultural and domestic waste water; management, protection and use of water resources.

Hungarian Water Utility Association (MaVíz

The Hungarian Water Utility Association (MaVz) was established in 1990 with a view to act as an independent representative of the water industrys interests, offering trade development and engineering services. In Hungary, public water services are provided by state- owned municipal (five large regional utilities) and local governments owned water utilities. Approximately 43 public utilities operate under different structures. 39 of these are affiliated members of MaVz, which represents 95% of the public water services of the country. In addition, 100 affiliated members represent the water industry and trade, furthermore engineering companies and universities.

Water and Wastewater Works Association of Kosova (SHUKOS

The Water and Wastewater Works Association of Kosova was founded in 2001. The goal of the association is to act as a liaison between its members and to promote their common interests, advance fundamental issues of their general scope. SHUKOS's Office consists of the Managing Director, Deputy Director, Administrative Assistant and other officials and deals with the management and operation of the Association.

Association of Utility Service Providers of Macedonia (ADKOM)

The Association of Utility Service Providers of Macedonia is a non-profit organization of and for all public utilities in the country, which represents the interests of its members. ADKOM's mission is to represent the interests of public utilities in the country and to support and assist in the provision of reliable, affordable and quality services in the field of communal activity. ADKOM acts as a source of knowledge and experience in public utilities and ensures their mutual cooperation to preserve the environment and support local and regional economic development.

Moldova National Association of Water and Sanitation Utilities (AMAC)

The Moldova National Association of Water and Sanitation Utilities was founded in 2000 as a joint voluntary noncommercial enterprise providing services of water supply and sanitation in Moldova. Its purpose is to assist water supply and sanitation utilities in Moldova in production, commercial, technical and scientific activities and to represent their interests in central and local public administration bodies and other organs.

Waterworks Association of Montenegro (UVCG)

The Waterworks Association of Montenegro was founded in 1999 and serves its members, mainly water and wastewater utilities, with training, technical assistance, knowledge exchange and lobbying & advocacy.

Romanian Water Association (ARA)

The Romanian Water Association (ARA) is based on three pillars: entrepreneurs, professionals, and suppliers. It facilitates and promotes cooperation between its members in order to identify new approaches to sustainable and cost-effective solutions to improve the quality of water resources management and water supply services, sewerage and wastewater treatment. ARA and its members are involved in promoting the sustainable management of water resources and holistically by integrating water supply services, sewerage and wastewater treatment in the broader concepts of lasting development and environmental protection.

Association for Water Preservation and Protection in the South of Serbia (WASS)

The Association for water protection and preservation in the South of Serbia was to represent and stand for joined interests of the members, strengthening capacities, stimulation of the knowledge, idea and information exchange, promotion of the latest technical solutions, facilitating the access to the financial sources (national and international), creating and development of the mutual programs and projects.

The aims of the Association are: engagement of all public utility companies (from the water supply, sewage, waste water treatment and similar sectors), high education institutions, non-governmental institutions, industrial subjects and other interested professionals with the intention to use mutual activities for promoting protection and preservation of the water resources and environment in the South of Serbia.

Association for Water Technology and Sanitary Engineering of Serbia (UTVSI)

The Association for Water Technology and Sanitary Engineering (UTVSI) is a scientific and professional association that gathers various profiles of experts, institutions and companies active in the field of water supply, sanitation and waste water and environmental protection in Serbia. With its mission to promote knowledge and experience in order to ensure safe and sustainable water supply, drainage and waste water and water protection and conservation of the environment, UTVSI contributes to strengthening the expertise and professional skills in the region for more than fifty years.

Association of Water Companies (AVS)

The Association of Water Companies (AVS) has a clear vision for the future about strengthening its activities in the area of education and professional preparation of employees of the members of the Association, in strengthening professional advisory and consulting activities and in further development of the legislative legal initiative. The main focus of activities of the Association in the near future will be its full integration into the Euro zone through gradual contact building, aiming to develop mutual cooperation for task solving related to the environmental policy of the state and to duties of the Slovak Republic concerning the EU membership.

Ukrainian Association of Water Utilities (UKRVODOKANALEKOLOGIA)

The Ukrainian Association of Water Utilities "Ukrvodokanalecologiya" is a voluntary inter-industry alliance of manufacturing enterprises, institutions, organizations, water and sanitation, research, design, construction and other enterprises of different ownership. Its aim is to address the challenges in the supply of the population with quality drinking water, drainage and effective wastewater treatment and in improving the ecological status of water environment in Ukraine.

International Association of Water Service Companies in the
Danube River Catchment Area (IAWD)

IAWD, the International Association of Water Service Companies in the Danube River Catchment Area, is the prime association of water and wastewater utilities in the Danube region. Established in 1993, IAWD has built a strong network of cooperation in the region, which goes beyond national, cultural and linguistic borders. IAWD acts as a regional platform for information exchange, peer to peer networking and knowledge sharing and coordinates its work around three basic principles: communicate, connect, capacitate.
